Simply Straight Ceramic Straightening Brush Review

Hey girls! So my mom got me this “As Seen on TV” Simply Straight Ceramic Straightening Brush ($24.99) for Christmas (I hadn’t really heard about it prior) and I thought I’d review it for anyone interested! It is a ceramic straightening brush that claims to give “salon quality results.” You plug this in like a normal straightener and adjust the heat (there is a large range up to 450 degrees for very curly hair, I usually keep it around 400 for mine.)

Below you can see a photo of my hair “before” using. Ladies who love dry shampoo, you will understand this….in this photo I had just woken up from sleeping on hair that had been ran with (in a ponytail) for 4 miles, then kept up in a bun for probably 4 hours before bed. Don’t judge, you all do it! 😉 Check out this craziness:

As you can see, it looks like a brush, but the “bristles” are hard, made of ceramic, and heat up to straighten! This time I decided to just quickly run it thru all of my hair (not sectioning off at all like I would with a normal straightener.) Below you can see the results of how my hair came after doing that for about 5 minutes:

As you can tell, the front came decently straight, but I needed to work on the back more! The next day, I decided to use it the “proper” way by sectioning off and straightening smaller sections one by one until I covered my whole head. Here is the result of that:

I would say using this “proper” technique, I got results pretty close to what I do with a normal straightener (click here to read which one I use!) I like the idea of this, however I think I will probably still use both this and my regular straightener depending how I’m feeling on the day. This one probably takes a little more focus, whereas my straightener I’ve gotten down the process of mindlessly running it thru my hair to get total straightness in about 3-4 minutes!

Hope you enjoyed this review! Leave me a comment if you use this brush straightener and let me know any tips you have! Click here to purchase the Simply Straight brush for $24.99 xo, Nicole
