The Bachelorette – Men Tell All Recap

Happy Bachelor Hangover day friends! Last night’s episode was the Men Tell All and we saw almost everyone from the season reunite to go over everything that happened. If you ask me, it was somewhat of a disaster and not the most entertaining MTA special I’ve ever seen. This freeze-frame I caught of Dean pretty much sums up how I felt about it:

One of my favorite things about these reunion shows is seeing how the “contestants” all present themselves. They are now various degrees of Instagram-famous and thus you’ll notice a lot of them have “improved” their appearance in one way or another. Many get minor surgeries, veneers, new hair or makeup looks, etc. I’d say more so with the women than the men of course, but nonetheless here are some things I picked up on:

~ Loving Will with a mustache
~ Not so much loving Iggy’s new Kanye look, but I do like his glasses
~ Demmario apparently came straight from a Eurotrip just to film this and then went right back to Europe so I guess he didn’t get the suit memo which isn’t a big deal IMO
~ Adam and Matt both seemed more attractive than when we saw them on the show
~ Diggy was cute as ever (side note – he’s a great live-tweeter!)

As for the content of the show, below are my thoughts on a few of the major moments interspersed with some pix from 2015 when my friends and I met some of Bachelor Nation’s most popular ladies 🙂 Below is me with Michelle Money, an OG!

One of the first things we saw was Whaboom and Blake E bickering back and forth but it never really led anywhere. I’ve read a lot about the past between these guys and I’m not a huge fan of either, but I definitely side with Blake more. I loved how Dean took a shot at Whaboom too! It seemed like Dean would randomly stand up and kind of drop the final word on a lot of topics during this episode and the rest of the guys would applaud him. I loved seeing a more bold, fiesty side of Dean!😍
We also saw Demmario explain what really happened with his ex-fling Lexi and I am definitely Team Demmario for the most part. I don’t think there was anything wrong about the situation except for the fact that he denied knowing the girl at all. If he just explained who she was, as Rachel mentioned, I bet he wouldn’t have been kicked off the show that week. Denying even knowing Lexi was what gave him the kiss of death.

(Here we are with Becca Tilley, runner-up on Chris Soules’ season & contestant on Ben Higgins’ season too. She was so sweet!)

I think the thing that took up the most time on the show was hashing out the drama between Kenny and Lee. I’ve been so over that for a while now, so I think they dragged it out far too long. What we saw wasn’t very enlightening or surprising, since Lee basically was forced to take a somewhat apologetic approach to his past insensitive actions. Whether he is truly sorry or not is to be determined, but he really had no choice being on the show facing 20-something other guys he either has to act sorry or get jumped outside after more or less! I personally think he was on a lot of Xanax or something because he appeared far to chill during the entire thing. I don’t really think the guys should’ve let him off so easily after his (fake?) apology, but I guess they are trying to save face and give the millions of viewers a happy ending as opposed to a true lesson.
While Kenny was in the hot seat, they also surprised him by bringing out his daughter who is very mature looking. I personally think he’s a bit too soft but what do I know, I don’t have any kids yet! I just know that 15 year olds are so independent I don’t think they really care if their parent is away for a few weeks. They probably love it! But who knows their personal situations so that’s just from what I see! I think he could cry a little less 😉
(Here we are with Ashley Iaconetti, another contestant on Chris Soules’ season & both seasons of Bachelor in Paradise where she was all about Jared Haibon! She was super nice as well!)

Next, Rachel made her appearance. I loved her hair and makeup and think it’s probably the best we’ve ever seen her look! Her interaction with Dean was a bit awkward to me as he was getting so emotional, yet we already know he’s been with at least two other women since her in BIP! Also, they’re both white and he did say that once he went black, he wasn’t going back…just sayin! I what Rachel had to say to Demmario and it seems like some of his response was edited out but we’ll never know. I also liked what Fred said to her. He basically tried her but ended it on a polite, sweet statement so she couldn’t really say anything back. Overall, I think it was a decent episode but not too thrilling. The bloopers were funny, but I wish we got to see more from Will, Diggy, and even Matt and Adam. I would’ve loved to see or hear more about their actual relationships with Rachel since we never really saw them at all on the actual show episodes.
