Hey loves! I ordered the new Too Faced Peach Perfect Foundation (click here to shop!) and have been testing it out for the past couple weeks. I’m not going to lie, the packaging is part of what got me to buy this along with the rave reviews from some of my favorite beauty vloggers. I do already own the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation and it’s decent, but I don’t consider it a holy grail foundation. Read on to find out what I thought of the Peach Perfect Foundation!
PACKAGING:
I can’t get over how freaking adorable the entire Peaches and Cream Collection‘s packaging is! For this foundation specifically, it is probably my favorite foundation packaging ever. First of all, I love pumps for foundation because they keep things super sanitary. The cap stays on well and overall I think it is one of the most spill-proof packaging situations out there! A+ for the packaging!
PRODUCT:
This foundation formula is very “normal” to me (not too liquid-y and not too thick either.) It is an oil-free formula, so great for those with oily skin! The finish is described as a “comfort matte” which is a new terminology to me. I usually stay away from matte foundations because certain areas on my face are more dry these days. However, this foundation doesn’t seem all that matte to me! I see vloggers agreeing that it is more of a semi-matte finish rather than a true matte. For that reason, I think all skin types would like this one!
WEAR:
Too Faced claims that these foundations are medium coverage (I agree) and have a 14-hour wear which I say is close to accurate. I put this on at 10am one morning, and when I went to take my makeup off at 1am that night, it was still pretty well intact (fyi – I always wear primer, set lightly with powder, and use a setting spray after doing my makeup.)
SHADE SELECTION:
The shade that I bought is Sand (medium with golden undertones.) I already own the Born This Way Foundation in the shade Warm-Beige (medium with neutral undertones) which is a pretty close match my skin, but I wanted to get the Peach Perfect Foundation in a shade darker to use on the days when I’m more tan 😉 The downside is that they only offer 12 different shades, so the selection isn’t huge. Below you can see a fresh swatch in the sunlight (top with flash, bottom without):
You can shop the Peach Perfect Foundation here! I hope you loved this review 🙂
