Beauty and the Least

What I bought in January

You guys voted on my Instagram stories poll, and said you wanted to see a monthly haul of what I bought for the month. So, here it is:

Tarte Travel Size Maracuja Oil ($16) – Had to stock up on my favorite facial oil when they were half price during last month’s Ulta Skincare Sale. This oil is great to add extra moisture to ANY skin type.

Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels ($15) – These are probably my favorite eye gels I’ve tried so far and were also half off during the Ulta Sale. You stick them under your eyes for around 15 minutes in the morning to brighten and perk up the under eye area. They really do have a cooling effect as described and are perfect for tired (or hungover) days!

Mario Badescu Travel Size Lavender Spray ($5) – I’ve always loved the original rose spray from Mario Badescu. I tried the green tea version they released a while back and now wanted to try the newest addition to the line. This one smells just like lavender oil and is especially great for the nighttime when you want a calming, sleepy vibe.

I loved the first few things I tried from The Ordinary, so when I was in Toronto recently (where they have actual stores), I had to check out more! Here’s what I picked up:

Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12% ($12.90) – This is a brightening serum containing Vitamin C which I’m trying to get as much as I possibly can of to ward off sun spots and aging as I near my 30’s!
Cold Pressed Virgin Marula Oil ($9.90)
– I LOVE the Drunk Elephant virgin marula oil, and there was actually a big controversy recently when The Ordinary put out a little jab ad essentially saying they have the same product at a fraction of the cost. I had to try theirs!
Reservatrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3% ($7.90) – These are two of the best antioxidants in the game, so I had to try this. Look at the price tag compared to the popular Skinceuticals C E Ferulic which sells for $165! The Ordinary even suggests mixing this into the Vitamin C suspension for super antioxidant power!
Vitamin C Suspension 30% in Silicone ($6.80) – Vitamin C is a big part of my skincare routine (sunspot life), so I wanted to try out their product. I’ll try this in my nighttime routine.

Xhilaration Cherry Print Short Sleeve Dress ($24.99) – I got this cute dress at Target and have been loving it! It is super comfortable and fits great. I wish they had different prints available! The little cherries on it are so cute 🙂

Xhilaration Long Sleeve Crochet Trim Top ($24.99) – This is another great Target find. So comfortable, flattering, and can be made cute with a tank underneath or a little bit sexy with just a bra and more skin showing under the lace.
