July Empties

Hey babes! I’m back with another Empties post! For those of you who are unfamiliar with the term “empties,” you probably haven’t read my previous Empties PostsClick here to catch up on my reviews of all the products I’ve used up (and are thus now empty!) After using a product up entirely, it’s a good time for me to give my full review and tell you whether or not I would repurchase it. Click any product below to be linked to purchase! Tarte Quench Lip Rescue • $19 – This is my newest lip obsession. I have about 3783125 lipsticks and wear lipstick about once a month at most, so you do the math! I just honestly don’t find it practical to wear daily, I much prefer a tinted balm like this! The Tarte Quench Lip Rescue is super moisturizing and has a slight tint. The shade I emptied here (and already repurchased during the 25% off sale they have going on now!) is ‘Buff’, but I also own ‘Nude’ and ‘Coral’. All 3 are pretty neutral, but they also carry some more pinky and berry shades if that’s what you’re into. Definitely recommend!
It Cosmetics CC+ Cream • $38 (for full size) – I have about a million samples of this CC cream (so many that I have never actually bought it because I essentially have an endless supply!) So, I won’t repurchase although all of the samples are “Medium” and I really think the “Medium-Tan” shade would be more on point for me. Nevertheless, I love that this has SPF 50 – the more SPF the better, if you ask me! This is a classic, so I definitely recommend giving it a go. Most people love it!
It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Illumination Concealer • $24 (for full size) – Same situation for me here with the endless samples as I described for the CC+ Cream above. This is a full coverage, waterproof concealer that is definitely AMAZING. It has a tackier consistency than most that you apply with a wand, but it’s not really a bad thing as long as you blend it in well. This is the illumination version which did give a bit more of a brightening effect than the classic regular kind. Totally recommend both!
Josie Maran Surreal Skin Argan Finishing Balm• $36 (for full size) – This is a primer type product that quite frankly I don’t get at all. It came in a Sephora Play box and it was barely filled (I saw everyone’s came this way.) The amount that was in there, I tried out and it’s just a weird texture. Not good at all, and pretty pricey for a primer so it’s a NO for me, dawg.
Elizabeth Arden Prevage Serum • $162 (for full size) – I had no idea the full size of this was so insanely expensive. I thought it was a nice serum (most serums are liquidy and quite clear, but this one was thicker and yellow). However, I definitely didn’t notice anything to make this worth almost $200 with tax!
The Ordinary Ascorbyl Glucoside 12% • $12.90 – If you’re looking for an affordable Vitamin C serum, LOOK NO FURTHER! I love almost everything I’ve tried from The Ordinary and you’re in luck because now Sephora carries their brand! I would definitely recommend this (vitamin C is great for sun damage and brightening) and just about anything else they sell!
