Beauty and the Least

Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal

Much awaited Honeymoon trip post! I don’t often blog about travel but a) I want to start sharing more of my trips with you guys (at least on Instagram stories!) and b) this place was just TOO GOOD not to be shouted out from the rooftops! I found The Resort at Pedregal on Instagram and stalked it for months as one does (this seems to be my new way of finding vacation destinations! It’s also what ultimately brought me to discover Whistler and the place we’d later get married 😉 ) Anyways, a few weeks after our trip, the Resort at Pedregal was bought by Hilton and is now the Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal. You can check out the hotel website here, but I’ll share all about our experience throughout this blog post including lots of photos and insider info 😉

THE RESORT:

The Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal is a 24-acre luxury resort sitting cliffside right on the Cabo San Lucas beach. You enter the resort thru the private Dos Mares tunnel which was carved thru the mountain and takes you from the security gate shown above out to the epic outside lobby shown below (which was undergoing construction when we were there, but usually has flowing waterfalls.)

The resort is so stunning & instagrammable that I couldn’t help but take over 400 photos! Below are some of my favorite photos around the resort:

AMENITIES:

The beach at Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal (seen above) is gorgeous, but the waves are too strong for swimming. The resort has 4 pools:
The biggest infinity pool in the photos below is the Adults Only Pool with swim-up bar.

The other infinity pool pictured below is the Family Pool with kids welcome + a hot tub as well:

Both big pools have attendants constantly walking around every so often with complimentary popsicles (below), hors d’oeuvres, bottled waters, and sunglasses shines at the pool.

Here is the Kids Pool:

The Luna y Mar spa has it’s own saltwater pool and every type of massage/facial/treatment you could possibly wish for:

We didn’t exactly use it, but the Gym looked very nice with a great view!

ROOMS:

Every one of the 113 rooms, suites, and multi-bedroom residential style villas on the property has a private terrace with a plunge pool and ocean view, a fireplace, tub, waterfall shower, and complimentary WiFi. The generous resort staff upgraded us to a “Three Bedroom Ocean View Plunge Pool Suite” which was an absolutely unforgettable experience. These suites are between 3,103 and 3,535 sq. ft. with 3 bedrooms and 3.5 baths including an epic master bathroom. The master bedroom has a king bed and the other two bedrooms each have 2 queen beds in them (so, this suite could easily sleep up to 10 people!) There is a large terrace for entertaining with an 6-person table, plunge pool, and two lounge chairs. The master bathroom also has its own balcony with two lounge chairs. The suite’s common area includes another 6-person table, a double-decker couch, full kitchen with stainless steel appliances, and a laundry room. Honestly, this would be so perfect for a big group couples trip or large family vacation! I’d love to go back with friends and family 😉

right outside the door to our suite
the seating area in our suite – how cool is this double-decker couch!?
the inside dining area & hallway to the bedrooms
How stunning is this kitchen!? full size fridge, beautiful island, dishwasher, oven, stove, coffee maker, & just about anything else you could want! The laundry room, storage closet, and luggage door are just behind the kitchen
doors out to the private terrace
dining area on the private terrace
main terrace lounge chairs – with the comfiest padding!
our private infinity pool – every room on the property has one!
such a stunning view of the ocean and the rest of the resort – I highly recommend booking a room on the top floor if you are able to!
inside our private plunge pool, looking towards our master bedroom terrace (where you can see me standing!)
master bedroom (had a fireplace facing the bed, which every room on the property has!)
the first vanity in the master bathroom, which has sliding brown doors that can close it off from the rest of the bathroom seen below:
master bathroom – the other vanity, shower, tub, and private toilet in a room to the right
every bathroom had a nice light-up magnifying mirror along with this body lotion that was seriously THE BEST! If I didn’t just pack a carry-on bag, I would’ve brought a bunch of bottles of it home!
master bedroom waterfall shower – every room on the property has one (and all 3 bathrooms in this suite had one!)
master bedroom tub – every room on the property has a tub complete with bubble bath & a loofah mitt
our private balcony off the master bedroom
one of the other bedrooms – both looked very similar
the bathrooms for the other bedrooms – all 3.5 bathrooms were gorgeous!

EXTRAS:
Some of the other little extras each room includes are:
* complimentary welcome drinks upon arrival
* chips & guac/salsa + coronitas delivery to your room daily at 4pm
(they happily switched our drinks to margaritas since we don’t drink beer):

* Klipsch bluetooth speaker & binoculars for spying on your neighbors whale watching (ha!) :

* fridge restocked daily with water bottles, sodas, and juices:

* complimentary “welcome” bottle of tequila in your room:

* evening turndown service including bedside treats:

* the cutest little turtle cookies (their mascot!) at departure:

RESTAURANTS/BARS:
The Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal has 4 on-site restaurants, each with it’s own bar:

* EL FARALLON is the fanciest restaurant which is situated right on the side of the cliff (see above) for the most gorgeous views. It is super popular and full every night of not just hotel guests, but visitors from all over Cabo. Definitely make a reservation here if you’d like to eat. We came one night for a cocktail at the Champagne Terrace with the cutest little sitting area shown below. (We dressed casually for a drink, but some of the girls dining here were in full glam and heels!)

* DON MANUEL’S is a semi-casual, indoor-outdoor dining space open for all 3 meals. You can check out the bar and outdoor seating areas in the photos below. We ate breakfast here every day (these morning drinks were to die for!) and the staff even were surprised us with the cutest celebratory French Toast shown below on our final day!

Pomegranate Mimosa & Breakfast Margarita (our fave!)

One thing that really made this resort stand out is the level of service by you receive. Every single staff member went above and beyond to ask how we were, if we needed anything, and just genuinely cared that we were enjoying our vacation. They realized things I needed even before I did myself – one day at breakfast here, I took my beach bag off my shoulder and a waiter immediately ran over with a stool for me to place it on! The service and hospitality at this Waldorf Astoria here is truly unmatched.

* THE BEACH CLUB is open 11am-6pm for daytime bites, where we got the club sandwich & cheeseburger shown below – Jimmy said it was the best burger of his life!

* CRUDO is the poolside swim-up bar (shown below) open 11am-9pm. It’s the perfect place for a poolside cocktail, appetizer, or light meal.

Here is the other side of Crudo where you can sit outside the pool for drinks/food if you’re not swimming:

There is also a champagne swings bar near the family pool which I was straight-up obsessed with as you can tell by all the photos I took:
